Our Objectives

The general objectives of our administration are:

  • Create new KOYA branches at electoral, zonal and regional levels and register members of the association in these areas.
  • Embark on vigorous sensitization of Konkombas on the need to avail themselves and encourage others to be counted during national population and housing censes.
  • Put in place measures that will make KOYA operationally strong and financially sustainable through establishment of permanent income generations projects for the association.
  • Support the committee responsible for fund raising in support of the Konkomba Educational Endowment Funds (KEEF).
  • Develop website and data base systems to ensure effective administration of KOYA.
  • Design plastic membership cards for KOYA National Executives, branch executives, committee members and some other approved groups for easy identification and official purpose.
  • Support traditional leaders to organize annual ndipondaan and yam festivals purposely to promote Konkomba culture and identity in Ghana and beyond.
  • Continue the effort made by previous administration to review KOYA constitution and make draft copies available to selected people for their inputs and upon completion present a final copy to the general assembly to adopt during KOYA conventions.
  • Conduct local census on Konkamba population across the country purposely to establish statistical information on Konkomba
    population and settlement in Ghana.
  • Support NGOS, institutions and organizations that promote formal education, literacy education, health and environmental issues in Konkomba communities.
  • Work with Konkomba chiefs, politicians, academia and business men/ women to lobby government and agencies to establishment a tertiary institution in Saboba.
  • Print souvenirs and branded cloths with KOYA logo which would be used by Konkombas to projecte the image and identity of Bikpakpaam in Ghana and beyond.
  • Form committees and build their capacities to enable them carry out the responsibility assigned to them effectively.
  • Establish Konkomba Traditional Leadership Center for training Konkomba Traditional Leaders and others.
  • Create three subsidiary offices within KOYA main administration to help address some peculiar issues.
  • Support environmental conservation programmes that seek to support, protect, prevent and preserve a balanced ecosystem and biodiversity of the natural environment in Konkomba communities.
  • Help communities to select and install their youth leaders (binachiponborb) to champion advocacy programmes of education, health, peace and environmental issues in their respective areas.
  • Give awards to Konkombas and other deserving organizations, institutions, groups, associations and individuals who contributed significantly towards the establishment of KOYA; promotion of education; agro-business; health care, peace culture and traditional governance in Konkomba communities.
  • Establish KOYA branch Farms and skills entrepreneurial/self-income generation business venture (Business Enterprise and Skills Training -BEST-Project) in some selected areas to generate income for the association and also develop the talent and skills of the youth.
  • Create KOYA Youngsters Wing office to provide opportunity for the youth to effectively participate in KOYA activities in their respective areas
  • Give financial support/sponsorship to Konkomba girl-child and any other brilliant students who performed extremely well in examinations, beauty pageant or creative establishment.
  • Facilitate programme that will impact positively on the youth to involuntarily convert their clan- base clubs to KOYA Youngster Wing base/clubs purposely to foster peace and unity among the various Konkomba clans.
  • Organize mini/pre -conventions in some selected Konkomba dominated areas to generate income for KOYA and also encourage people living in those area to get involve in KOYA activities.
  • Facilitate programme of activities that has tendency to promote the general welfare of Konkomba women, youth and children.
